Žarko Paić
Žarko Paić was born in Kutina in 1958. He graduated from the Faculty of Political Sciences in contemporary philosophy under the leading Croatian philosopher of the 20th century, Prof. Vanja Sutlić, PhD. He received his doctorate in the sociology of globalisation and identity at the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences of the University of Zagreb. Philosopher, sociologist and political scientist; he is the author of over fifty monograph books and anthologies in Croatian and English, which have recently been published by renowned international publishers, such as Cambridge Scholars Publishing, Springer, Palgrave Macmillan, Toronto University, Schwabe Verlag, and have been acknowledged in the academic circles of social and humanistic scholars from the fields of philosophy, sociology, political science, and image science and new media theory. He is a member of the S. Kierkegaard Institute, Forum for Humanities, Centre for Visual Studies from Zagreb, Institute for Globalisation and European Studies, Croatian Society of Writers, Croatian PEN Centre, Centre of Studies of Contemporary Nihilism. He is a foreign member of the Academy of Sciences and Arts of Bosnia and Herzegovina in the field of humanities, the editor-in-chief of the edition Sociology and Transhumanism of Trivent Publishing from Budapest, editor, member of the editorial board and publishing councils of a number of journals in philosophy, sociology, political science, theory of contemporary art in Croatia and abroad.
