Boris Miljković

Boris Miljković is both a director and creative director. He graduated from the Faculty of Dramatic Arts in Belgrade. He began his career as an assistant director of the famous TV series Otpisani. In a creative duo with Branimir Dimitrijević, he left a significant impact on the artistic life of Belgrade and the former Yugoslavia. His creative signature in the pop culture of this region is exceptionally important and powerful, reflected in iconic shows like Rokenroleri and Niko kao ja, as well as in numerous anthology music videos and films such as Russian Artistic Experiments and Šumanović – The Comedy of an Artist. Miljković tells stories through images, just as he conveys narratives through visual content, which is most evident in the film about Marina Abramović, Homecoming – Marina Abramović and Her Children, and the documentary series The Road to the Future, where he presented the history of visual art from 1950 to 2000. He received the world’s most prestigious awards in the field of advertising and commercial film, such as the Clio Award, which is considered the advertising’s equivalent of the Academy Awards. He is the author of several books, has participated in international exhibitions with performances, and has worked in theater and academia. He has been the long-time creative director of Radio Television of Serbia. Part of his contemporary video work has been showcased at exhibitions in the Museum of Modern Art (MoMA) in New York and the Contemporary Arts Museum in Houston. He created the video impressions for the performance The Silence of the Balkans, which was the closing event of Thessaloniki – European Capital of Culture in 1997.
