Damir Šodan

Damir Šodan (born in 1964 in Split), is a poet, translator, editor, and playwriter. He graduated in English Studies and History from the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences in Zagreb. He published around thirty titles, including selections of poetry by Charles Simic, Leonard Cohen, and Charles Bukowski, as well as an anthology of Croatian realistic poetry “Drugom stranom” (in 2010), and an anthology of contemporary European poetry “Ima li pjesnika u Monte Carlu” (in 2022). For twenty years, he had been working as a translator for the United Nations in Netherlands, and he is now a freelance writer and literary translator. Recently, he has been spending more time in his hometown of Split.
