Ana Salopek

Ana Salopek

Ana Salopek was born in 1985 in Ogulin, where she still resides and creates. She graduated in Philosophical Theology from the Catholic Faculty of Theology in Rijeka. As she herself states, now and then she read, wrote, and drew something. She had numerous exhibitions in Croatia and abroad and is represented by the Illo Agency on the international scene. Salopek creates and exhibits under the alias Miss Ura  or as Ana Salopek. She is fascinated by time and the mechanism of clocks. In her illustrations, she explores the themes of ecology, human values, tolerance, emotional expressions of everything that surrounds us, literal interpretations, and transferring wordplay into picture. Her works move the boundaries of reality, allowing her inner child to express itself, while allowing her adult self to better understand the world, led by the hope of leaving it both better and more interesting.
