Vibor Juhas
Vibor Juhas (born 1982 in Pula) works in illustration, animation, music, and film. He has created several music videos, mainly for bands from Pula. His first short fiction film, No Way Out, was completed in 2011, and in 2012, in collaboration with the Monteparadiso collective, he directed the feature-length documentary Monteparadiso 20. He illustrates children’s books and picture books. In collaboration with Manuela Šumberac, he co-created the interactive picture book Žive razglednice Pule (Living Postcards of Pula), with text by Miljenko Jergović. He designed and animated the set for the play Vampirska kronika – Jure Grando (Vampire Chronicle – Jure Grando), which won the Croatian Actors’ Award for Best Scenography in 2016. He directed and animated the short animated films Cijena ugljena (The Price of Coal, 2016) and Zarobljenici ugljena (Prisoners of Coal, 2017), and released the first issue of the comic album Mr. Joe in 2017. He is also the author of numerous posters and animated jingles for various events and performances (Book Fair(y) in Istria, Monte Librić Children's Book Festival, Pula Film Festival, Istrian National Theatre, Uljanik) and illustrates editorials for online portals.
