Predrag Finci

Predrag Finci was born in 1946 in Sarajevo. For a short time he was an actor. Graduated from the Drama Studio in 1969. Studied philosophy in Sarajevo and Paris (with Mikel Dufrenne). A residency in Freiburg (with Werner Marx). He received his master’s degree in 1977 and his PhD in 1981. He was a professor at the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences in Sarajevo until 1992. He lived in London from 1993, where he worked as a freelance writer and visiting researcher at UCL (University College London) until his retirement in 2011. He is a member of the Bosnian and Herzegovinian Writers Society, P.E.N. B&H (Sarajevo), Exile Writers Ink (London) and the Croatian Philosophical Association (Zagreb). His books and texts have been translated and honoured with awards. He published thirty books.
