Nikša Kušelj
Nikša Kušelj was born on 15 October 1971 in Dubrovnik. He is a prominent Croatian theatre, film and television actor. He graduated from the Academy of Dramatic Art and is a company member of the Croatian National Theatre in Zagreb. In addition to his impressive acting career, Kušelj is also the author of the music albums Berači soli and Incognito inflagranti, as well as the poetry collections Fleure de Sel and Dolce Garbo. On stage, he performed a number of notable roles, among which Macbeth in Macbeth by William Shakespeare and Mack The Knife in The Threepenny Opera by Bertolt Brecht stand out. His performances in Dubrovačka trilogija, Ekvinocijo and Kafetarija at the Dubrovnik Summer Festival, as well as numerous successful performances at the Croatian National Theatre in Zagreb, are particularly significant. As a director, Kušelj, in collaboration with Ante Gelo, realised a number of concert performances, including Arsenal Ljetne noći, Zagrebački novi val, Pianopsion and Vraćam se, Zagrebe, tebi. Besides, he worked on short fiction films and documentary scripts, and directed music videos. His film and television career includes roles in the films The Horseman, Generalov carski osmijeh and The Recollection Thief, as well as numerous appearances in television series and various TV shows.
