Ivica Đikić

Ivica Đikić was born in 1977, in Tomislavgrad, Bosnia and Herzegovina. He is a journalist, writer and screenwriter. He is a former editor at the weekly magazine Feral Tribune and former editor-in-chief of Novi list in Rijeka and the weekly magazine Novosti in Zagreb, where, since leaving his editorial position, he has worked as a political commentator. He has published fourteen books, six of which are novels, including „Cirkus Columbia“, „Sanjao sam slonove“, „Beara“ and „Divlji kvas“. He is the recipient of the regional literary award „Meša Selimović“, which has been awarded for 25 years as part of the Cum grano salis Literary Encounters in Tuzla, the Tportal Novel of the Year Award and Kočić’s Pen Award. His books have been translated into seven languages. He is the author of the most successful television drama series since Croatian independence – „Novine“ (HRT/Netflix/HBO Max). He lives in Zagreb.
