Igor Grbić
Igor Grbić was born in 1970 in Pula. He completed his studies in the English language and Literature and Indology in Zagreb, where he also earned his doctorate in literary theory and history. In the academic year 1997/1998, he served as the first visiting lecturer of the Croatian language and literature at the University of New Delhi. He currently resides in Pula, where he teaches literature and translation studies at the Faculty of Humanities at Juraj Dobrila University. Grbić writes poetry, fiction, essays, reviews, and critiques. He has translated several thousand pages of literary, philosophical, and scholarly texts from multiple languages, including around thirty books. His work has been recognized with awards for both literary and translation achievements. His previously published literary works include Istria Glagoljušta (Kiklop Award), Tajna Monkodonje, U doba vremena, Kao da sam, Izlazak u cvijet, Knjiga priča, Mrvice s gozbe, Pjesme rađanja i umiranja, Nebesa urnebesa, and Pokreti u Bulji. He is also author of the scientific monograph The Occidentocentric Fallacy: Turning Literature into a Province.
