Danijel Kraljević Cuj

The name Kraljević —CUJ is rooted in a family tradition of producing grapes, wine, and olive oil dating back to the 15th century. Kraljević represents the family name, while CUJ honors the grandfather who planted and nurtured the current vineyards. CUJ was the grandfather's nickname because, when speaking the Istrian dialect he kept saying CUJ (Cuj da ti rečem - Listen, let me tell you). In 2006, a new cellar and oil mill were built in Farnažine near Umag to create conditions for expanding production and markets, both in Croatia and abroad.  With the latest technology and equipment, the oenologist and owner Danijel Kraljević transforms his wine ideas and expertise into modern products, appreciated by wine lovers, as well as those seeking the traditional authentic flavors of indigenous varieties such as Malvazija, Muškat, and Teran. These varieties serve as both inspiration and challenge with each new harvest.
