Noel Šuran
Noel Šuran graduated in Art Teaching from the Academy of Applied Arts in Rijeka. He earned a PhD in ethnology and cultural anthropology at the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences in Zagreb with the topic Ethnological research of musical two-part singing and Istrian identity. He was the secretary of the coordination of the Institutionalisation of Native Teaching in the Istrian County. He worked as an art teacher in several Istrian primary schools. He works as a curator at the Ethnographic Museum of Istria – Museo etnografico del Istria in Pazin. A member of the Croatian Ethnological Society, Croatian Composers Society, Croatian Society of Fine Artists of Istria and the Cultural and Artistic Society Šikuti Machinae. Involved in Istrian traditional music for many years. He participated in many events, gatherings, conferences and congresses, symposiums, exhibitions and fairs.
