Andrea Matošević

Andrea Matošević was born in 1979 in Pula. He is employed at the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences at the University of Pula “Juraj Dobrila,” where he teaches courses in ethnology and cultural anthropology. He is a co-founder of the Center for Cultural and Historical Research on Socialism at the same university.He is the author of several monographs and co-editor of multiple collections of academic papers. For his book Doći u Pulu, dospjeti u tapiju; Etno-filozofska studija lokalnog fenomena, he received the Milovan Gavazzi Award from the Croatian Ethnological Society (HED) in 2019 in the category of scientific and teaching work. The same book was translated and published by the British publisher Berghahn Books under the title Almost, But Not Quite Bored in Pula. He lives in Pula.
