Livio Badurina

Livio Badurina was born in 1965 in Rijeka. He graduated from the Academy of Dramatic Art in Zagreb. For six seasons, he was a member of the Drama Ensemble of the Slovenian National Theatre in Maribor. He has been engaged with the Drama Ensemble of the Croatian National Theatre in Zagreb since 1997. From 1999 to 2002, he served as an assistant in the Acting Department at the Zagreb Academy of Dramatic Art, in the class of Professor Neva Rošić. In 2008, he was promoted to the rank of drama principal. He has performed dozens of roles in Croatian and international theatres, as well as in film and television. He is the author of the project dolce vita/showreel/diary of an actor—a photography exhibition and short film projection in the form of a showreel, presented as part of the Dubrovnik Summer Festival in 2007. He has received numerous awards and recognitions, including two for Best Female Role: the Mila Dimitrijević Award for Best Female Role for the role of Laura in Marin Držić’s Dundo Maroje in 2007, and the Croatian Theatre Award for Best Actress, also for his portrayal of Laura in Dundo Maroje.
