Raoul Marini

Raoul Marini was born in Pula in 1993. After completing general high school, he continued his studies in the Italian city of Urbino, where in 2012 he enrolled at the Academy of Fine Arts under Gianluca Murasecchi, specializing in printmaking. After earning his degree, he moved to Venice to pursue an advanced program under Paola Fraternali, with whom, following mentorship, he developed a strong friendship and collaboration within the cultural-art association Lab43 for Print, which also includes another mentor, Stefano Mancini. The Lab43 for Print association aims to use print and graphic media as the main form of artistic expression, as well as a space where various artists meet, share ideas, and inspire each other, contributing to the local artistic community. Lab43 for Print is based on the concept of Hayter’s Atelier 17, where all artists, both professional and amateur, are free to come, learn printmaking techniques, express themselves, and simultaneously contribute to the development of other artists. While printmaking remains one of Marini’s central media, he also engages in digital creation, producing digital content that he later uses for promotion through illustrations.
