Nataša Govedarica

Nataša Govedarica graduated in dramaturgy from the Academy of Performing Arts in Sarajevo. She was the dramaturge for JDP’s production Zašto je poludio Gospodin R (Why Mr. R Went Mad) by Bobo Jelčić. She has received awards for radio dramas produced on BH Radio 1, as well as for co-authoring the play Hipermnezija (Hypermnesia) by Selma Spahić. She holds a master’s degree in human rights from the Center for Interdisciplinary Postgraduate Studies at the Universities of Sarajevo and Bologna. She has published studies Pokretne slike ljudskih prava (Moving Images of Human Rights) and Srbija – zemlja nesigurne prošlosti (Serbia – A Country of Uncertain Past), focusing on issues of nationalism and revisionism, topics she also explored as a visiting researcher at Columbia University (NY). She has worked with and supports various civic initiatives. Since 2014, she has served as the program director of the organization Pro Peace (forumZFD) in Serbia. She is originally from Sarajevo and has lived in Belgrade since 2008.
