Nives Tomašević
Nives Tomašević is an editor, scholar, and author. Through her professional, scientific, and academic work, she has devoted herself to the comprehensive field of publishing: she worked for over 40 years in publishing houses (Mladost, Mozaik, Slon, Ljevak) and edited numerous books and series (Rukoljub, Otvorena knjiga [Open Book], Academica, Razotkrivanja [Revelations], among others). Since 2009, she has been an external editor at Naklada Ljevak. She developed her academic and research career at the Department of Information Sciences at the University of Zadar, where she worked from 2009 to 2019 and initiated a number of courses on publishing and cultural studies. Since 2019, she has been a collaborator at the Academy of Arts and Culture in Osijek. She has published numerous works and is the author of one book and co-author of two books. She has received several prestigious awards: the Josip Juraj Strossmayer Award from the Croatian Academy of Sciences and Arts for the best publishing project (the series Razotkrivanja [Revelations]), the City of Osijek Charter for promoting the written word in Osijek, and the Order of the Croatian Danica with the image of Marko Marulić for contributions to culture.
