Rino Banko
Rino Banko (Pula, 1994) graduated from the School of Applied Arts and Design in Pula in 2012. He earned a master’s degree in sculpture from the Academy of Applied Arts in Rijeka in 2018, where he is currently an assistant in the Department of Sculpture for undergraduate and graduate studies. He actively participates in the work of the Quark Ceramics Center at APURI, conducting research on digital models and 3D printing in ceramics. In parallel with his academic work, he runs his own artistic studio, engaging in a wide range of activities in the field of art and its applications. He has exhibited in around twenty group exhibitions, held five solo exhibitions, and participated in multiple artist residencies and colonies. He has completed several sculptural projects permanently installed in public spaces. Banko has received numerous awards for his work, including the Rector’s Award from the University of Rijeka. His works are part of the collections at the Ivan Matetić Ronjgov institution and the Museum of Contemporary Art of Istria.
