Miroslava Vučić

Miroslava Vučić was born in Zagreb, where she completed her studies in Sociology at the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences. She began her professional career in journalism, writing about cultural, social, and political topics. After her journalism career, she moved into publishing. She is the chief editor at Školska knjiga, one of the largest publishing houses in Croatia. She has particularly distinguished herself in editing books in the fields of nonfiction, history, political science, memoir, and essay writing, working with numerous domestic and international authors. In one media statement, she said: “It is not enough for us to create something mediocre that brings profit; we create the extraordinary, which, alongside revenue, brings a lasting contribution to society as a whole. The primary task of Školska knjiga is to weave itself into the very fabric of our people, language, tradition, modernity, and, of course, the future.” In addition to her work at Školska knjiga, she is also an editor at Lumen publishing.
