Gian Marco Griffi

Gian Marco Griffi

Gian Marco Griffi was born in Alessandria in 1976. He studied philosophy at the University of Turin. He has been writing since his earliest youth. He has published two collections of short stories: „Più segreti degli angeli sono i suicidi“ (2017) and „Inciampi“ (2019). The novel „Meksičke željeznice“ (2022) achieved enormous success and high print runs, making Griffi a true literary sensation. Through different narrative techniques, linguistic play, alternating comic and dramatic scenes, and taking the plot to the point of absurdity, the author created in this work a picture of a world of dizzying changes, equally hilarious and moving, thus paying tribute to writers such as Jorge Luis Borges, Roberto Bolano and Juan Rulfo. In 2025, Griffi published his novel „Digressione“. He lives in Asti in Piedmont.
