Paola Damiano

Paola Damiano is among the founders of COMICON – International Festival of Pop Culture in Naples (Italy), one of the most important European events dedicated to comics and entertainment. Over the years, she has actively followed the development and extraordinary growth of the festival, focusing her work on the management and curatorial development of exhibitions, as well as on strengthening the festival’s strategic connection with the local community. As a curator, she has been responsible for some of the most important exhibitions in the history of the festival, transforming the worlds of internationally renowned authors into visual installations: from the visual power of Tanino Liberatore’s „Drawing Power“ exhibition, through the dreamlike dimension of the „Moebius: Alla ricerca del tempo“ exhibition, to „Viaggio straordinario“ by Hugo Pratt. Dedicated to the social role of art, she is the spokesperson for the „Pop Wave: Comicon for Palestine“ project, created with the aim of presenting the power of the ninth art as a language of dialogue, resistance and resilience.
