Mauricio Ferlin
Mauricio Ferlin was born in Pula in 1971. He graduated in 1996 from the Design Program in Zagreb. He works in design, scenography, video, theater, and exhibition and installation design. He is a member of the Croatian Designers’ Association, the Croatian Society of Fine Arts of Istria, and the Croatian Association of Independent Artists. He has contributed creatively as a graphic designer, scenographer, art director, director, or collaborator to numerous cultural events and manifestations in Istria, both within and outside institutional frameworks. From 1995 to 2007, he focused intensively on video art. He is the author of around forty music and commissioned videos, for which he has received multiple awards, and he has designed about thirty music releases. Since 2009, he has shifted his artistic focus from video to theater scenography and exhibition design. He frequently collaborates with director and choreographer Matija Ferlin on productions that have been successfully staged and received multiple awards at festivals in Europe and North America. He is also the author of around twenty exhibition designs of both artistic and museological character. He lives and works in Pula.
