Rob Riemen
Rob Riemen was born in 1962 in The Netherlands. Riemen founded the magazine Nexus in 1991 to preserve the tradition of European humanism. He founded the Nexus Institute in 1994, which has become one of the most prestigious European organisations for stimulating public intellectual debates on the most important topics for society and humanity. Riemen is the author of the popular books Nobility of Spirit: A Forgotten Ideal (2008), in which he passionately calls for the revival of classical humanist values; and To Fight Against This Age: On Fascism and Humanism (2018), which consists of two beautifully written, irrefutable and contemporary essays on the rise of fascism and the ways in which we can oppose it. His latest book, Becoming Human Is an Art (2023), is intended to empower all those individuals who want to regain the virtues and values that are necessary for the realisation of the coming triumph of democracy and victory over the increasingly widespread totalitarian way of thinking. His works have been published worldwide and translated into over 20 languages.
