Via Pula

Via Pula is a programme dedicated to a city that people come to and, inevitably—whether by force or by choice—leave, only to return again, whether through nostalgic imagination or seemingly by chance, when the wanderings of lost sons and daughters finally come to an end; a city of runaways and wanderers; a city of refuge and a city of longing. It is the Pula that Dragan Velikić placed on the map of European literature with his iconic debut novel Via Pula, and continued to shape through the works that followed.
