White and Black Sea

White and Black Sea is a program centered on presenting the contemporary cultural scene of the Mediterranean. Its focus lies in the literary, artistic, and philosophical interpretation of the Mediterranean’s past and present, and its guests include writers, publicists, theorists, and artists. The program was launched at the 18th Book Fair(y) in Istria in 2012, when the main fair theme was The Mediterranean: White and Black Sea. That year featured authors from Italy and Turkey, along with distinguished writers, publicists, journalists, theorists, and artists whose work defines the Mediterranean as a place of cultural encounter.
