Return

At the heart of the programme Return lies a powerful artistic theme that, in Predrag Finci’s words, holds a “painful joy” in the realisation that whatever we return to will never be the same again. The programme grew out of the central theme of the 28th Sa(n)jam knjige u Istri, which captured the post-pandemic moment when the prospect of returning to the “old normal” gave way to a new beginning. Here, return is explored as the very essence of writing, or, in Goran Ferčec’s words, as “stolen time, a moment for thought, criticism, desire, nostalgia, art and memory”.
